The Curse of the Dripping Paper Bag

Whilst investigating the death of a local janitor, a lumpy acrobat called Stanley Moore uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, dripping paper bag circulating throughout Cactuar Island. As soon as anyone uses the paper bag, he or she has exactly 25 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look stupefied. A marked person feels like a nauseating hamster to touch.

Stanley gets hold of the paper bag, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: an eldritch rabbit balancing on a masochistic janitor, an old newspaper headline about an unexpected accident, a hooded sahagin ranting about eyeballs and a drinking well located in a balmy place.

When Stanley notices his buttcheeks have hamster-like properties, he realises that the curse of the dripping paper bag is true and calls in his horse trainer, a singer called Elvia Randolph, to help.

Elvia examines the paper bag and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the eldritch rabbit balancing on a masochistic janitor particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Stanley and Elvia pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded sahagin. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
