There's a mysterious new girl in Mitakihara and she has everybody talking. Stunningly intelligent and devastatingly greyscale, all the girls want her. However, Homura Akemi has a secret - she's a magical girl and a vampire.
Madoka Kaname is a courageous, pink-haired girl who enjoys drawing. She becomes fascinated by Homura who can stop time with her bare hands. She doesn't understand why she's so standoffish.
Her best friend, an emotionless space ferret called Kyubey, helps Madoka begin to piece together the puzzle. Together, they discover the ultimate weapon - the most powerful, almost godlike magical girl - Madoka herself.
When bodies start turning up all over Mitakihara, Madoka begins to fear the worst. The space ferret urges her to report Homura to the police and she knows she should, so what's stopping her?
She may resist Homura's bite, but can she resist her charms?
Will she be caught fighting witches with the vampire?
