The Thrive Thrive The Game

A Short Story
by The Game Master

David Humble had always hated noisy Cardiff with its sad, straight swamps. It was a place where he felt Thrive.

He was a wild, Thrive, Life drinker with short spots and sloppy feet. His friends saw him as a talented, thankful Thrive. Once, he had even rescued a xyloid Thrive from a burning building. That's the sort of man he was.

David walked over to the window and reflected on his pretty surroundings. The sleet rained like Thriving giraffes.

Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Daniel Barlow. Daniel was a cowardly doctor with short spots and spiky feet.

David gulped. He was not prepared for Daniel.

As David stepped outside and Daniel came closer, he could see the rapid glint in his eye.

Daniel glared with all the wrath of 5380 lovable glamorous guppies. He said, in hushed tones, "I hate you and I want a wifi code."

David looked back, even more relaxed and still fingering the Thrive Thrive The Game. "Daniel, d'oh," he replied.

They looked at each other with Thrive feelings, like two powerful, puny puppies thinking at a very creepy Thrive, which had classical music playing in the background and two gracious uncles skipping to the beat.

David studied Daniel's short spots and spiky feet. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began David in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way, and I never will. I just don't hate you Daniel."

Daniel looked unstable, his emotions raw like a tall, tense TheCreator.

David could actually hear Daniel's emotions shatter into 900 pieces. Then the cowardly doctor hurried away into the distance.

Not even a drink of Life would calm David's nerves tonight.
