The Curse of the Silver Gun

Whilst investigating the death of a local fishmonger, a special police officer called Sharon Nolan uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, silver gun circulating throughout Scotland. As soon as anyone uses the gun, he or she has exactly 33 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look pickled. A marked person feels like a moist goldfish to touch.

Sharon gets hold of the gun, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a killer guppy balancing on a noisy fishmonger, an old newspaper headline about a biking accident, a hooded toad ranting about hands and a drinking well located in a hilly place.

When Sharon notices her fingers have goldfish-like properties, she realises that the curse of the silver gun is true and calls in her mother, a teacher called Naomi Superhalk, to help.

Naomi examines the gun and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the killer guppy balancing on a noisy fishmonger particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Sharon and Naomi pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded toad. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
