Phil Blacksmith is a strong, bald and energetic hairdresser from Ireland. His life is going nowhere until he meets Hector Thunder, a puny, weak man with a passion for star gazing.

Phil takes an instant disliking to Hector and the mean and peculiar ways he learnt during his years in Scotland.

However, when a ghost tries to kick Phil, Hector springs to the rescue. Phil begins to notices that Hector is actually rather noble at heart.

But, the pressures of Hector's job as a computer programmer leave him blind to Phil's affections and Phil takes up star gazing to try an distract himself.

Finally, when mean doctor, Forest Giantbulb, threatens to come between them, Hector has to act fast. But will they ever find the important love that they deserve?
