INT. HALLOWNEST - AFTERNOON

Strong Head hunter MATHEW ANDRA MOTH is arguing with remarkable knight RATIO RIOT VESSEL. ANDRA tries to hug RIOT but he shakes her off.

ANDRA
Please Riot, don't leave me.

RIOT
I'm sorry Andra, but I'm looking for somebody a bit more brave. Somebody who faces her fears head on, instead of running away.

ANDRA
I am such a person!

RIOT frowns.

RIOT
I'm sorry, Andra. I just don't feel excited by this relationship anymore.

RIOT leaves.

ANDRA sits down, looking defeated.

Moments later, intelligent General of Refuge DELISOS DEILOS VESSEL barges in looking flustered.

ANDRA
Goodness, Deilos! Is everything okay?

DEILOS
I'm afraid not.

ANDRA
What is it? Don't keep me in suspense...

DEILOS
It's ... an Infected ... I saw an evil Infected fire a bunch of children!

ANDRA
Defenseless children?

DEILOS
Yes, defenseless children!

ANDRA
Bloomin' heck, Deilos! We've got to do something.

DEILOS
I agree, but I wouldn't know where to start.

ANDRA

DEILOS

DEILOS fans himself and begins to wheeze.

ANDRA
Focus Deilos, focus! Where did it happen?

DEILOS
Xenosia! That's right - Xenosia!

ANDRA springs up and begins to run.

EXT. A ROAD - CONTINUOUS

ANDRA rushes along the street, followed by DEILOS. They take a short cut through some back gardens, jumping fences along the way.

INT. XENOSIA - SHORTLY AFTER

SLICKLY FIREFLY a creepy Infected terrorises two children.

ANDRA, closely followed by DEILOS, rushes towards SLICKLY, but suddenly stops in her tracks.

DEILOS
What is is? What's the matter?

ANDRA
That's not just any old Infected, that's Slickly Firefly!

DEILOS
Who's Slickly Firefly?

ANDRA
Who's Slickly Firefly? Who's Slickly Firefly? Only the most creepy Infected in the universe!

DEILOS
Blinkin' knickers, Andra! We're going to need some help if we're going to stop the most creepy Infected in the universe!

ANDRA
You can say that again.

DEILOS
Blinkin' knickers, Andra! We're going to need some help if we're going to stop the most creepy Infected in the universe!

ANDRA
I'm going to need Nail, lots of Nail.

Slickly turns and sees Andra and Deilos. He grins an evil grin.

SLICKLY
Andra Moth, we meet again.

DEILOS
You've met?

ANDRA
Yes. It was a long, long time ago...

EXT. A PARK - BACK IN TIME

A young ANDRA is sitting in a park listening to some flute music, when suddenly a dark shadow casts over her.

She looks up and sees SLICKLY. She takes off her headphones.

SLICKLY
Would you like some peppermints?

ANDRA's eyes light up, but then he studies SLICKLY more closely, and looks uneasy.

ANDRA
I don't know, you look kind of creepy.

SLICKLY
Me? No. I'm not creepy. I'm the least creepy Infected in the world.

ANDRA
Wait, you're a Infected?

ANDRA runs away, screaming.

INT. XENOSIA - PRESENT DAY

SLICKLY
You were a coward then, and you are a coward now.

DEILOS
(To ANDRA) You ran away?

ANDRA
(To DEILOS) I was a young child. What was I supposed to do?

ANDRA turns to SLICKLY.

ANDRA
I may have run away from you then, but I won't run away this time!

ANDRA runs away.

She turns back and shouts.

ANDRA
I mean, I am running away, but I'll be back - with Nail.

SLICKLY
I'm not scared of you.

ANDRA
You should be.

INT. REFUGE - LATER THAT DAY

ANDRA and DEILOS walk around searching for something.

ANDRA
I feel sure I left my Nail somewhere around here.

DEILOS
Are you sure? It does seem like an odd place to keep deadly Nail.

ANDRA
You know nothing Deilos Vessel.

DEILOS
We've been searching for ages. I really don't think they're here.

Suddenly, SLICKLY appears, holding a pair of Nail.

SLICKLY
Looking for something?

DEILOS
Crikey, Andra, he's got your Nail.

ANDRA
Tell me something I don't already know!

DEILOS
The earth's circumference at the equator is about 40,075 km.

ANDRA
I know that already!

DEILOS
I don't find Hiro funny.

SLICKLY
(appalled) Dude!

While SLICKLY is looking at DEILOS with disgust, ANDRA lunges forward and grabs her deadly Nail. He wields them, triumphantly.

ANDRA
Prepare to die, you creepy parsnip!

SLICKLY
No please! All I did was fire a bunch of children!

RIOT enters, unseen by any of the others.

ANDRA
I cannot tolerate that kind of behaviour! Those children were defenceless! Well now they have a defender - and that's me! Andra Moth defender of innocent children.

SLICKLY
Don't hurt me! Please!

ANDRA
Give me one good reason why I shouldn't use these Nail on you right away!

SLICKLY
Because Andra, I am your father.

ANDRA looks stunned for a few moments, but then collects herself.

ANDRA
No you're not!

SLICKLY
Ah well, it had to be worth a try.

SLICKLY tries to grab the Nail but ANDRA dodges out of the way.

ANDRA
Who's the daddy now? Huh? Huh?

Unexpectedly, SLICKLY slumps to the ground.

DEILOS
Did he just faint?

ANDRA
I think so. Well that's disappointing. I was rather hoping for a more dramatic conclusion, involving my deadly Nail.

ANDRA crouches over SLICKLY's body.

DEILOS
Be careful, Andra. It could be a trick.

ANDRA
No, it's not a trick. It appears that... It would seem... Slickly Firefly is dead!

ANDRA
What?

ANDRA
Yes, it appears that I scared him to death.

DEILOS claps his hands.

DEILOS
So your Nail did save the day, after all.

RIOT steps forward.

RIOT
Is it true? Did you kill the creepy Infected?

ANDRA
Riot how long have you been...?

RIOT puts his arm around ANDRA.

RIOT
Long enough.

ANDRA
Then you saw it for yourself. I killed Slickly Firefly.

RIOT
Then the children are safe?

ANDRA
It does seem that way!

A crowd of vulnerable children enter, looking relived.

RIOT
You are their hero.

The children bow to ANDRA.

ANDRA
There is no need to bow to me. I seek no worship. The knowledge that Slickly Firefly will never fire children ever again, is enough for me.

RIOT
You are humble as well as brave!

One of the children passes ANDRA a mystical Ring of Kerry

RIOT
I think they want you to have it, as a symbol of their gratitude.

ANDRA
I couldn't possibly.

Pause.

ANDRA
Well, if you insist.

ANDRA takes the Ring of Kerry.

ANDRA
Thank you.

The children bow their heads once more, and leave.

ANDRA turns to RIOT.

ANDRA
Does this mean you want me back?

RIOT
Oh, Andra, of course I want you back!

ANDRA smiles for a few seconds, but then looks defiant.

ANDRA
Well you can't have me.

RIOT
WHAT?

ANDRA
You had no faith in me. You had to see my scare a Infected to death before you would believe in me. I don't want a lover like that.

RIOT
But...

ANDRA
Please leave. I want to spend time with the one person who stayed with me through thick and thin - my best friend, Deilos.

DEILOS grins.

RIOT
But...

DEILOS
You heard the lady. Now be off with you. Skidaddle! Shoo!

RIOT
Andra?

ANDRA
I'm sorry Riot, but I think you should skidaddle.

RIOT leaves.

DEILOS turns to ANDRA.

DEILOS
Did you mean that? You know ... that I'm your best friend?

ANDRA
Of course you are!

The two walk off arm in arm.

Suddenly DEILOS stops.

DEILOS
When I said I don't find Hiro funny, you know I was just trying to distract the Infected don't you?
