The Curse of the Spotty Torch

Whilst investigating the death of a local lawyer, a funny author called Rachel Gump uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, spotty torch circulating throughout Canada. As soon as anyone uses the torch, he or she has exactly 70 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look mirrored. A marked person feels like a peculiar rabbit to touch.

Rachel gets hold of the torch, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: an evil kitten balancing on a pointy lawyer, an old newspaper headline about a safari accident, a hooded horse ranting about hands and a drinking well located in a cold place.

When Rachel notices her arms have rabbit-like properties, she realises that the curse of the spotty torch is true and calls in her lover, a author called Heather Gobble, to help.

Heather examines the torch and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the evil kitten balancing on a pointy lawyer particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Rachel and Heather pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded horse. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
