Wallas McCloud, the Moose

A Fantasy Novel
by Gimp

In a tent there lived a greasy, bendy moose named Wallas McCloud. Not a feathery ugly, wobbly tent, filled with sausages and a feathery smell, nor yet a picturesque, passionate, pink tent with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a moose-tent, and that means comfort.

One day, after a troubling visit from the gnome Freddy Flipface, Wallas leaves his tent and sets out in search of three icy beans. A quest undertaken in the company of ogres, old folk and giant fairies.

In the search for the gnome-guarded beans, Wallas McCloud surprises even himself with his kindness and skill as a gardener.

During his travels, Wallas rescues a teapot, an heirloom belonging to Freddy. But when Freddy refuses to try swimming, their friendship is over.

However, Freddy is wounded at the Battle of Blenheim and the two reconcile just before Wallas engages in some serious swimming.

Wallas accepts one of the three icy beans and returns home to his tent a very wealthy moose.

Created on 3rd January 2018.

Auto Praise for Wallas McCloud, the Moose

"A search for three icy beans was always going to be compelling. The addition of ogres, old folk and fairies just makes it even more awesome."
- The Daily Tale
"OMG! It's like Lord of the Rings with added old folk."
- One of the Kidz
"About as enjoyable as eating my own toes. I wish Freddy had kept refusing to do any swimming. The whole thing would have been a lot shorter."
- Enid Kibbler
"I love Freddy. I would have liked to see more of him."
- Hit the Spoof
"I prefer the real Tolkien."
- Zob Gloop
