The Curse of the Crumpled Sausage

Whilst investigating the death of a local psychiatrist, a giving lawyer called Reginald Malkovich uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, crumpled sausage circulating throughout Australia. As soon as anyone uses the sausage, he or she has exactly 32 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look shrunken. A marked person feels like a chubby elephant to touch.

Reginald gets hold of the sausage, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a feathery gerbil balancing on a simple psychiatrist, an old newspaper headline about an unfortunate accident, a hooded goldfish ranting about thighs and a drinking well located in an urban place.

When Reginald notices his fingernails have elephant-like properties, he realises that the curse of the crumpled sausage is true and calls in his brother, a police officer called Steve Sweet, to help.

Steve examines the sausage and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. He finds the feathery gerbil balancing on a simple psychiatrist particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Reginald and Steve pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded goldfish. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
